In March 2016
KDS brought back a brilliant classic to the classroom stage of the exhibition suite; The History Boys. The play surrounds itself around a group of A-level schoolboys who are aspiring to get into Oxford or Cambridge universities.
With a loud & enthusiastic cast of 13, the actors were all rearing and ready to go for the three busy performance nights.
The Directors, Emily Farrow & Leonie Slater, tell us about their experience:
From the start we had been going at full speed, from 4 hours of back to back auditions on both nights, to callbacks lasting until the early hours of Thursday morning! We were over the moon when we had our final cast and it's gone from strength to strength. There have been highs and lows but of course mostly highs and I think I speak for both Leonie and I when I say how immensely proud I am of what we and our cast have achieved in just 6 weeks!
James Ryley, stage manager, tells us: Stage Techies nailed this production to continue a fantastic year of shows!
In preparation for the production, the set design team built the stage from scratch to recreate the iconic History classroom school-look.
